A community PANCAKE EVENT raised £150 to be
shared between the Hull Foodbank and Church Urban Fund.
Lots of fun was had by all who attended.
During our celebration of “The Baptism of Christ”, our Mini and Plus Saints worked together to produce a montage depicting the Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. The young people produced figures and messages depicting their thanks for their own Baptism and various people and events in their lives.
Epiphany was celebrated when the journey of
the Magi, wisemen, was commemorated by a procession in church by the
mini and plus saints. The three gifts given to Jesus had a spiritual
meaning: gold as a symbol of kingship on earth, frankincense (an
incense) as a symbol of deity, and myrrh (an embalming oil) as a symbol
of death reflecting the future life of Jesus.
